When you want something different, something just for you, something to fit an exact space - or something truly bespoke - This Awesome one-off beautiful banquette seating arrangement was created to exactly fulfill the client brief.
This stunning house in Cambridgeshire has undergone a full makeover and owner, Suzanna and her husband, wanted the kitchen and entertaining space to be right at the heart of the home.
The seating area needed to tick several boxes: Firstly, we needed to create an easy-to-use and hardwearing family dining space, that works well with a growing family. Secondly, they wanted a seating arrangement that would easily transform into a stylish, grown-up space for impromptu suppers or an evening of Tapas and Cocktails, serviced from the adjacent quirky-purpose-built bar.
The area is flooded with light, flanked by large traditional windows and doors that lead out onto the garden, there's a strong connection to the outside, and so we also wanted to allow the dining space to be adaptable to the season.
We are so thrilled - as is Suzanna and her family - with this gorgeous homely, but stylish and highly adaptable room...
Working with a super soft-touch fabric, that has the appearance of leather, from Cristina Maroni, we created the fluting and specially contoured banquette seating.
Suzanna wanted the banquette to feel wonderfully welcoming and comfortable so family and friends would be totally at ease, staying for long lunches and fun-filled evenings... With Suzanna's eye for styling, this space has come together brilliantly. It has ticked all the boxes - and who wouldn't want to spend time in this Awesome setting?
